PhotoNOLA

PhotoNOLA is an annual celebration of photography that is produced by the New Orleans Photo Alliance in partnership with museums, galleries, and venues citywide. BrickRed participated in the event three consecutive years, exhibiting local and national photographers.

 

Please, could you stop the noise, a group photography show focusing on small intimate works of the "instant-object" variety. Featuring the work of David Armentor, Thom Bennett,, Sesthasak Boonchai, Dave Rodrigue, and Kyle Roberts. This exhibition was on view December 7- February 4, 2017 in conjunction with PhotoNOLA, with two receptions and artists’ talks.

Postcards + Polaroids, featuring the traveling exhibition of John Erikson and Andy Pitts. December 15, 2018 in conjunction with PhotoNOLA. Longtime friends Andy Pitts and John Erickson frequently travel together to various destinations around the world. For each journey, Andy creates a postcard graphic for the destination, while John documents each trip with his polaroid cameras. They are pleased to share a small, but very special, portion of their adventures through the lens of their Postcards and Polaroids.

I Know You, I Knew You  An exhibition featuring the work of Sesthasak Boonchai, December 2019. With I Know You, I Knew You, Sesthasak Boonchai explores ties to his childhood home of Jackson, Mississippi, with photography, a site specific video, and a sound installation.
